Have you loosened up you shoes?
I had some bruising issues with my strappy ones but haven't had that issue yet with the dial shoes
They might not have been dialled quite right. The bruise is right where the wires cross on the lower dial. I'll wear the straps for a couple of days and go back to them when the bruise settles down. I hadn't had trouble with them before.
Most likely there was a little bunch up in the foot compression right there.
I ignored a similar foot pain for about 90 minutes during our Killarney Loop trek. When I adjusted the laces, the pain didn't go away so I figured it was bruised. Oh well. When I finished, there was a little calcified lump that caused pain for weeks. The chiro said it might not go away but fortunately it did. I now take my shoe lacing much more seriously!
I'm usually pretty careful, but gave the added complication of getting about 3bar of compression distributed just right over my foot. Some days I just say 'good enough', and that is ok to go to the mall, or drive around, even a 'normal' two hour bike ride.
