is the Laramie range logo a partial tribute to BSK?
Its been too long since I've run in the US Rockies
It was really more a case of having a perfectly fine logo, and seeing no need to reinvent the wheel.
An unexpected treat was having Fred Zendt show up at the recent O' Fest, decked out in one of the original BSK O' suits. Fred had a fairly long hiatus from orienteering, which is why a more than two decades old O' suit has been able to survive so long. At this point, it has become quite a rare item--possibly unique--and the Smithsonian has already on several occasions sent emissaries in a so far futile attempt to acquire it for their vast orienteering related collections.
Other than the Donalds, very few Canadians have made it down this far in recent years, which I suppose only makes sense when considering the distances and how many other (bigger) competitions to choose from. But of course you and your squad would be welcome anytime.
