GuyO:
So, how/why did you take controls out of order?

He did not. The arena control and go control were the same. As the arena control did not register for him (Tuulikki wanted the si box querIed as there were a fair number of mispunches there but they said no)
the computer thought he came to the arena control when he punched the go control.

Got it...
Sounds like the JWOC officials did not want to face the possibility of dealing with a HUGE problem...

I assume the arena / GO control was under constant video surveillance? While it wouldn't be allowed as grounds for reinstatement, it would be interesting to compare the video on all those who claimed to punch. How long did they hold it in? Can a flash be seen?

So, Thomas now that you have time to post...
What's your take on what happened during the Sprint?

Rapidfire thoughts on the sprint:
The arena control didn't work for me and a few other people, which sucked. Sure, by the rules I am responsible to make sure I punch it, but two things. 1. You shouldn't have a malfunctioning control. 2. That loud crowd certainly didn't help when I put it by my ear. In terms of the fences, I thought they were fine. They made them a little too confusing to make it feel natural, but the course was technically really easy, so they needed to put something in to save it from being a complete runner's race. And it was still a runner's race, so whatever. They should have made harder legs.
