That you are keeping well hydrated and eating plenty of high potassium fruits. That should help prevent the cramps. I hope that won't be a problem for you outside of the long. Less likely in shorter races if you are hydrated and electrolyte balanced.

Which fruits -- besides bananas which are rather dry compared with other fruits -- are high in potassium?
