The heat for sure but I have also had an upper body injury since the weekend causing some pain running but, ironically, biking has been fine. But from what I understand you need to be a runner these days as well to be successful at TdF.

I've only been able to be bite free once on that trail and I haven't had the opp to ride it since fully connected. :-)
once i get the mtb up there in August I'll be sure to try
