Nice write up and great job on the swim . I missed the event because Mike C and I had to get the MNOCrogaine taped up at Drummond ( free weekends were running out on us) . I hope this repeats for next year since I like the off road tri format

Awesome stuff. Is your knee feeling fine? It's amazing you are out doing all this after surgery -- and feeling good about it. (I wish I had known about the DU).

O Steve!:
They are definitely doing it again and they did a great year they will have a Triathlon, duathlon, and trail run just like this year...

they are considering making the bike a full lap around Bertram on all single track (9 miles?) or keeping it at 6 with some double track.....I love single track but I think this years course was perfect for gaining some advantage if you are have mt bike skills but doable enough for the single track was a hoot trying to fly on the bike....plenty of single track...

They are going to develop this park with more trails and the RD is interested in promoting the park development and this event as a way to show it off...and the town people showed up to volunteer and were great......

a couple other notes....
-the duathlon had about 22 finishers (same with the trail run) so it was small but I bet it grows some next year....I am going to suggest Kari Bullard jump in on that next year....
-Ian, there is enough old guys in the field to give you plenty of competition...old guys placed well and there were plenty....I never had a chance with my sub par run.....

they had some music and a good meal afterwards and non alcoholic beer (ODouls)

check out the results here:
