Did you get there? If yes, what was it like?

I actually didn't, for the second time in a row. I keep wanting to check out the map and terrain, but plans keep changing along the way. I will definitely report when it finally happens!! It was really cool to play with the transparency slider on google earth to compare the map with the terrain. I think it will be a fun place to run around once I finally get there. Thanks again for sending the map!

That gives me opportunity to re-process that area if i still can get the data. And if I get enough of Colorado, plenty of awesome looking areas there, like these

Wow. Esp the first one.

I've been asleep for a while. The green/black screen, is that veg/rock or either depending on what you see when you get there?

Yes. Some of it is rock, some is vegetarion and some may be just bad ground classification. You must remember Blue Mountain and Prescott maps. What I did here is photoshopping those darkest green shades to that black screen. Because here more likely it is rock or bad mapping than just dense vegetation. There is opacity slider at top right, so you can see how the aerial imagery looks like and see if there is rock or bush or what. Anyway, there is plenty of stuff to paly with even if areas with lots of that screen are not useable. But I have no idea are these areas private/accessible, not goinig to go there eve, just having fun with lidar data here.

There is plenty of that kind of terrain there, much more than lidar data at the moment. And that map is only 40 km from thhose famous Laramie terrains so there is already some O activity mearby.

Oh, missed the slider. Yes, lots of rock. Like Prescott :) Seems very usable.

Maybe swampfox will organise a multiday there.
