Looks like a good run. I envy you. Sari and I used to stay at that hotel during ski season...and I always wanted to run that mountain in the summer.

During the winter, that hotel is really hopping: good restaurant, bar, disco and live entertainment til the wee hours. With a huge network of groomed ski trails stretching out up top for miles and miles. With small 'stuga' cabins serving waffles, sandwiches and beer around a wood-burning stove. Makes for an XC ski experience unlike anything we have in the US, unfortunately.

Here's some videos of Sunday's terrain, the first featuring Tove Alexandersson in action.

Yes, the Lindvallen environs appear to be intensely winter popular. It's also hopping with some 20,000+ orienteers presently about!

I think skiers are more of a 'late-nite' crowd than orienteers! And also spend more money. Is that hotel restaurant, bar and disco open in the summer for the 'partying orienteers?"

I think it may have been open for disco-type entertainment for this event but wasn't any where near after mid-pm. Sobriety predominant in my "neighborhood":-).
