We think it actually MAY have worked out if we'd nailed that point. I had the numbers wrong when I wrote the recap - turns out we were only 4 points behind, and would at least have had the opportunity to make that up if we'd hit 23 cleanly (need to go in and fix that in the report). So, I stick by your strategy!
I think the erg has made a difference, but it took a little while to settle into a sustainable rhythm on the water, since my cadence is a lot faster in the basement. I'll report back after Ireland, though - I suspect I'll have a better sense then.
