it's time to start WOC predictions. early predictions?

Emily Kemp will be first North American to podium at a WOC.

Tove?

A medal for TGIF and one for Albin Ridefelt

Gold for Tove in the long.

"The Three Musketeers", i.e. Daniel, Thierry and Olav will all be on or very close to the podium on the long, Tove will win at least one individual gold.

Anne Margrethe will get an individual medal if she can manage to avoid any big mistakes, she is one of the very few women who runs as fast as Tove.

Russian gold in women's relay.

Several people will finish the course.

Several people will mispunch in the sprint. AP will have a long thread about how it was the mapper's / course planner's fault.

There will be debate on line thickness and hopefully nothing about DSQs.

Medalist on the long course will be inside 30s. Norway without a medal in men's category.

Don't be silly. It takes longer than 30 seconds to run a long course.

@kofols: There's absolutely no way we can get all three female medalists within 30s! Among the men however it is possible but not too likely.

Why not? 2001 it was less than a minute and 2007 we got two winners. Anything can happen, this is orienteering.

Maybe he means they will be 30+ years old.

Get this - WOC predictions - thread for fun. Probably my prediction is more risky than prediction that Tove will win the long. Nobody want to risk toooo much, especially @tRicky is very careful how to win this thread.

@Jagge: "Why not?" Because Tove A will outrun everyone else by several minutes, so even if she makes a few serious mistakes it is very unlikely that we'll see three ladies within the same minute.

I do agree that anything _can_ happen, this is as you say orienteering. :-)
