I just cannot break through. I've had the best stretch of training in a long time and I was running faster 2 months ago than I am now and stood up to the heat better then also...in fact at begining of summer had a stretch where it was 105 heat index when there had been no hot weather to tough you up to that kind of heat...two months later 101 heat index and it bothers me just as much...
It's all about timing.
Right now... I told Dan and Kathi to ask me "how's your injury?"
And I said "what injury?!"
Knock on wood.
I'm only limited by fitness. That's nice.
There's some luck involved. If you believe in that. . And prudence.
I think a huuuuge factor in my life is not driving so much.
Sitting is bad...it stiffens a lot of muscles up...trying to stretch my hips with a couple of stretch exercises that I can't remember the name of...they are the same...just one is standing up and folding one leg and leaning forward either on the floor or something like a table. I can feel pressure on the hip joint in various positions but then the magic seems to go away...yesterday my legs just did not 'work'...even the slow warm up thing of shuffle jog walk took forever...
Hopefully can keep up the track work at least 2 times a month...I just keep waiting for the feeling of 'something kicking in' and I run faster...meaning some runs...will always have some awful crap days where it may be understandable why you are tired and other times it makes no sense at all...kinda always been that way...
5 weeks until 61...13 months until I retire...barely hanging on now.
