I would never label you as dumb for doing something fun like that, at the spur of the moment! Good call pulling out.

When do you come back to Boston? I need some long weekends on my feet to prep for Stone Cat...

I'm so excited for trails this fall. Current plans:

Next two weeks in Colo, culminating w/ pacing the last 50 mi of Leadville
Travel week after that, up to Maine/NH for wknd (Aug 22-29)
Week before Labor Day: Maine, orientation, Vt. for wedding (not far from Ed's, will do some trail running)
Sept 10: ?
Sept 17: Pisgah!
Sept 24: NorAm
Oct 1: Nipmuck, or this
Oct 9: 4 day wknd, may go to Chi to cheer sister, but more likely all the trails
Oct 16, 23: ?
Oct 30: Randolph, NH trail 10k
Nov 7: Jackson, NH trail 10k (I'm "promoting" that one to the extent I'll promote a no-fee race for old hit kids)

Oh, and I might throw down a couple of those half day wonders up to the Whites, if you're game for that :)

So much fun stuff!

This fall is already looking busy.

Labor day wknd - Cape Cod CSU camp (no corn maze for me :( )
Sept 9-10 - Pawtuckaway? If it happens? If not, probably home
Sept 17-18 - Classic Champs
Sept 25-26 - NAOC
Oct 1 - Wedding
Oct 8-9 - I have this niggling feeling that I've committed to something, but I can't remember what, and it's not in my phone... How about back-to-back long runs?
Oct 15- SF Hunt Boston, found free entries for Ed and myself. Sunday long run?
Oct 22-23 - open
Oct 29-30 - DC
Nov 5 - Stone Cat
Nov 12-13 - ideally nothing
Nov 19-20 - Blue Hills Traverse!

Ooh, where is Corn Maze? I might be in that area. If no Pawtuckaway, that might be a good weekend for some long runs. Then I should decide how much O I want to do the next couple of weekends.

Columbus Day, maybe? We'll see. That SF Hunt looks very silly, but they have pictures of people with #grassrootsgear so I probably have to right? #totallynotacult.

22-23: This would be a good time for you to do a last long thing. Pemi Loop if the weather is okay (not too much snow/ice)?

Maybe Nov 12-13 will include some rollerskiing. Double poling? If you're trained for a 50k trail race, you should be fine.
