You may not have a lot of data points, but if you tend to make navigation mistakes in orienteering after taking a fall you could maybe come up with a routine for that type of situation.
Boris helped me realize this in my own orienteering. If I take a spill, and bounce right back up and keep running, I am often heading off in the wrong direction. It is worth a moment to deliberately check my compass, rethumb the map and gather myself before setting off again.
