As bad as what you did a while back on your circuit around Moreau SP?

Definitely not. Only one side, for starters, and about 20mph slower when I hit the ground.

Stop hurting yourself!

Ok, reading logs is starting to remind me of pre-TT injuries, eek. You've done a great job getting this far, stay strong and mentally focused for WOC!

I hope you made a lesson point for the kids ... rollerski safe as I tell you, not as I show you.

Just so you might, I say might, feel better, we just got a panic call from our daughter in law - Grandson, 5 y.o., bit it on his bike racing an older girl down the hill in front of their house. Big bump on the head (yes, helmet was on but not sure how well it was adjusted) road rash on neck, chest arms, hands. Not a happy little boy. What kind of treatment works. Can I wait till tomorrow to get the bits of tar out of the rash?

What is this? We survived the parents rounds of these things and now a second round of discovering ways to get busted.

Oh, and Niels is planning to run People's. Not for us this year.

Looking forward to seeing Niels!

I would get all the gravel out tonight, if you can. It hurts like hell, but otherwise it'll scar. Then irrigate with saline, each time you change the bandage, and keep it covered. Heals faster and better that way. I highly recommend the plasticky second skin.

Thanks. Got a picture this morning. Not as bad as the panicked mommy made it sound but still many patches of small wounds. Doesn't seem to be any gravel after all but is some dirt and dust they cleaned off. The patches are abrasion type and weepy but clean. He got about an inch wound on an elbow, both knees, wrist, all finger tips and belly. Most concerning though is a big rainbow colored egg in the center of his forehead. Not a good helmet fitting, but not the time to remind them of that. They're off to get saline and second skin.
