You weren't the only one having a bad day - pretty unusual for Simmo to blow 15 minutes in errors, and he would have been well within spec otherwise. Lots of big red numbers all over the AP splits.
(Excessive use of shitty bingo boulders may be partly to blame, too... :) )
I encountered Simmo at his biggest blowout - our CP 17 the SFG. Maybe he thought I am such a good orienteer that we must have both been in the right place but I ended up leaving him dithering too low (after I'd already searched there) and went and found it higher up where I'd seen Cameron heading earlier.
Heh...that's exactly what I did to Oliver - I was standing about 20m away from it, decided I was too high, headed off downhill and dragged him with me.
I can't believe the only split I almost won (#8), I was beaten by someone even lower down the results than me and I had thought I messed that one up too. Must have gotten confused as to which ones I made a meal of since there were so many of them.
