One day we'll get to do the real route! It looks spectacular!

Worth doing it as a training run - mostly so you can appreciate the views, racing its always head-down to avoid falling. The view to the south at the start of the second descent (towards the causeway) is utterly spectacular - a wall of rock on the north facing side of the glen.

Alec Keith was telling me about a time he was running it with Henry Blake, who was making his debut. As they approached the col before the second descent Alec turned to Henry and said "you're about to enjoy one of the best views in Scotland". They got over the top and met a girl doing the walk wearing a pair of skimpy shorts.
Henry turned to Alec replied "how did you know?"
