I know, I know--you were just on a very extended taper from July 25. Well done! : )

lycka till i strömstad!

Thanks guys! I do live! Strömstad is really nice, and the exciting and extended taper must come to an end, now that the first WOC race looms.

We have settled in nicely to our accommodation here in the "Captain's Town" section of Däftö . The team has mostly converged, though we are keeping a space open for Kseniya (she arrives tomorrow.)

I can spend a bit of time backlogging to give an update for how the past weeks of preparation have gone.

My start time will be 10.07 tomorrow. Feeling nervous but ready to go!

Go Ross!

That is almost too incredible to believe, because I just had a dream about Däftö the other night!!!

Lycka till imorgon!

And I know Boris is telling you how much they love you back east, but our Rocky Mountain love for Rosstopher is way more mountainous than that, and even more altitudinous as well!

Have a great time out there, run well!

Thanks guys! It was a great sprint qual in the morning. The trend of very tight qualifying margins continues, and a perfect race from me would have been well outside the needed level for getting through to the final. That being said, I executed my plan very well, I ran hard, I choose good routes (except perhaps for one) and I slowed down and took an extra second when I needed to read.

Then, being a spectator and fan, it was great to watch the finals from the arena. Tomorrow I will get out into the forest in the morning for a nice Middle relevant training and then watch team USA, led off by my lovely lady wife!
