Funny, isn't it, how much more grateful rogainers are whereas sometimes working on a major orienteering event can leave a bad taste in your mouth?

Not Funny Ha-Ha, that is for sure. :)

There is a definite culture difference between the two sports despite using the same basic elements. Also interesting that some people whom I interact with in both sports thank me at rogaines but not at orienteering events. And I'm not being either paranoid or picky about how many times I get thanked. Honestly I'd do it for a wave!
