Did you find the control(s)?

There were two controls. One easy and one hard. I waited in the car for the easy one because it sounded so well defined. I had talked to the guy who lost the other one and he really had no idea. I thought we might get lucky if it were on a trail, but we didn't find anything.

Yeah, it was worth it. It reinforces the need for preparation and technology. It's just remarkable how enabling just wearing pants is in stuff like that.

I was worried my lower legs were covered in bacteria from the black, smelly, silt in the ditch that reached to mid-thigh. I was worried the scratches let in some nasties. I didn't shower until about 7 hours after I got the scratches. I showered, scrubbed with Hibiclens surgical soap, and then used gauze to put Betadine all over. I let that dry then went to bed. Each scratch has about a 5mm wide red area. No pain. I think I'm okay.
