My dad reversed into the garage door on three different occasions. All three times at 4am, when it was dark. He didn't realize the door was not open and BLAM!
I think the first two times the entire garage door was a write off. House insurance paid for it to be replaced/repaired.
Well at $120 (quoted by a different repair place - no call out fee) to fix it, I think that it's likely to be lower than the excess.
At my current rate of employment that'll only take an infinite number of hours to pay off.
It could have been much more expensive to fix.
