Anywhere from 10-21 days and you should be fine, right?

Better to be a little undertrained than a little tired.

I always do a 3 week taper, only problem I see is a reduction of beer in the plan.

Whoever told you to taper beer is out to remove joy from your life, control your destiny and sabotage you.

N=1, but I cut out beer Aug 1st and my penis shrank 50%. A FULL CENTIMETER!

ha! thanks for the advice Sean!! I will NOT cut out beer.. just make lay off the bombers of DIPA and still to singles.

I'll probably do 2 hours at Deer Creek Saturday. Just nice and mellow. May start and noon to simulate race start since I've been running early so much the past couple of months.

How much night running have you done? Trails with headlamp and race gear?

i ran about 5 hours in the dark with maggie at leadville... and remembered how much i love running in the dark. I used to do it every winter morning in encintas to get in the miles before work. I have a solid light set up. I have 2 x Black Diamond Icon headlamps. They are 320 lumens and last about 8 hours on full blast!! They take 4 x AA batteries. A bit heavier than some but totally work it. I will use one from mile 45-75 and then pick up a new one with fresh batteries. I will also always have a Black Diamond Storm Headlamp in my pack for a back up. It's 150 lumens and will last about 6 hours on high. It's what I ran the whole time with maggie and leadville. I will also have extra batteries in all my drop bags after mile 75.

Better over rest than being over racing...as you know. You are the expert so trust yourself.

Your going to smash 100 miles. My only advice is to go in with every muscle fiber recovered and hydrated. You will not forget how to run come race day.

If you want me to ship out my Ay Up lights or fly out and ride my bike next to you in the dark just say the word. Stoked for you bro. Years in the making. Just get to the start line

Slater - the seed was planted in my head to run 100 miles after pacing you in Zion in 2012 (DAMN! we are getting old!!!). It's taken 4+ years to make it to the start line of one healthy and ready to rip. Looking to enjoy the day and see what I got!

If you want to fly out and crew we have room in our condo!!
