I agree with your comments about his sons; they're wonderful young men. Very sad news.
Indeed. I hope this doesn't age you (or me), but I was really inspired to dive further into orienteering based on the example of Brian (and you and Brian May) and the class and results you all showed as I was a graduating junior. You guys owned North American orienteering in the 1990s, at least from my perspective, and the bearing and good nature of Brian made him someone I'd love to emulate.
