Sorry to miss this. I hope it goes really well this year. I'll be back some other year, so keep being awesome!
Yeah what Alex said. AG! and I had planned to come out this year but with Uni starting and an early NAOC it just didn't fit.
I hope it goes ok! My perfectionist tendencies with mapping and course design are being a struggle right now!
For 2017, I'm eyeing the second weekend in September again. CROC is talking about another Deschutes Daze starting Labor Day weekend so we could have a little orienteering festival up here with Bend and Seattle events. It's still tentative, though.
The second weekend in September also generally means that we can use any campus we want. UW wouldn't let us go last year (last weekend in September, because of freshmen orientation), and SPU is on the same academic calendar, so that would be iffy.
For 2017, I also have my eyes on an area that would be perfect for all of Saturday's events. Four maps within 500m of each other. If this happens, it would also feature a night sprint for Round 3. Something to start exploring in October!
I've missed Boston Sprint Camp both years, so I actually owe you guys one!
Still hoping to come out one of these years, once I am able to run again. Looks like a great event. Good luck!
Now wait for the emails for last minute registrations #sprintcampproblems
Registration closed last night, and we have 72 slots sold, so 8 left over. I might give away some to my local running group for some cross-pollination, we'll see,
I also had to order shirts before the deadline (last Friday), and I extrapolated the orders we had for a full set of 88 shirts (volunteers get 'em, too).
And well, the orders after that didn't quite fill the bell curve from the first orders. Looks like I'll be short 2 women's mediums (and one of those is Ali's). I do have women's S, women's L, men's S, and men's M, though.
Actually, we're good on sizes, I was able to add 'em!
First ARXer participating this year!
Yup, I saw that!
Looks like 77 on the start list, but I got a message from Rex saying that he's unable to make it up this year. (Which is a bummer because he would have run on a map he made.)
