Darn it. My super flexible job picks today to have a super inflexible commitment. I would actually go do this if I could. I'm not sure why this resonates with me but it does.

Thanks for the info.

I wonder if there are any orienteering maps near there. It could help with the search.

Just looked at Google Maps and realized this is close to Tyandaga and Kerncliff so there are good O maps of wooded areas nearby.

Found alive and unharmed.

we should discuss how our collective skills (endurance, navigation, knowledge of trail network, medical for some) can be better used in these situations. we developed a search and rescue map for the DV but the average Person doesn't know about it. that should change

I got out there myself just after everyone was notified he was just found unharmed. Quite amazing to see the turn out - the world can be kind!

Yes, I thought of the kerncliffe map too. I wanted to talk to the cops and find out if he was an CC or trail guy. That would open up some possibilities of hard to search areas nearby that would suit the O/trail running skill set.

So glad to hear he's ok. Any idea what the heck happened?

he was found in a residential area - between some houses I believe.

It sounds like he didn't encounter any foul play that other runners would need to be concerned about.
