Nice biking Dad!

I checked your route on Google Maps; I was amazed to see that you can ride bike path most of that route. And it measures ~32 miles round trip! Quite an expedition! And you must have been fighting a headwind for a portion of that trip.

Nice biking Rick!

Thanks. I have several favorite urban rides starting from our house near Tower Grove Park - STL is a good city for urban cycling. Except perhaps early on weekend mornings, I stay off of all major streets but there are a lot of safe alternatives. On this route to Chain of Rocks Bridge, I might be on streets for 40% or more of the route, but all are lightly traveled and in 'fairly' good shape. I keep mileage on my bike but due to winds and stops, prefer to record riding time, not miles -- I think this ride was near 35 miles - with mostly a medium cross-wind. Extending this ride to Madison County IL bike trails adds as many "paved trial only" miles as I wish. That's where I did about 55 miles a few weeks ago.
