I have kept plugging away on the 'book' switched to a new copy at about 6700+ pages and 2,513,000+words...second copy is now over 1200 pages and 463,000 less than 25,000 before I hit 3 million words...and soon about 8,000 pages...but that is relative to the size of print...

Also after stalling out on the War and Peace for about a year at bout 450 pages I started back in...I mostly read about 3 pages a day...Tolstoy has lots of 'chapters' or sections 3-4 pages long...anyway I'm at about 1200 pages now so should finish it for the second time by end of year (1974 was first time...with this same book) Tolstoy's bd is the 9th the day before mine...this week.

Maybe I should start it on the 9th. I put Moby Dick by my bed yesterday, after finally reading My Antonina last week.

Jack Nelson... what a long-winded guy.

Come on...give him a break. My Antonia...I have to admit I don't ever recall that title/book...Moby Dick I read for a class...probably at Central but I don't remember...don't recall liking it or getting into a flow with it compared to other big and/or old books that sometimes take 50 to 100 pages to really get least for me...
