Discussion: Private correspondence

Thank you, Ian. I appreciate your reasonable and thoughtful comments.

I've come to realize that there is a perception that I had some sort of private email exchange with Peter and then shared (though only with a short list of friends) the final salvo without divulging what I might have said to provoke it. That would not have been fair, I agree, and that's not what happened. There was a very limited correspondence revolving around confusion about which board I was on, and that was it. I will paste the thread in here. The email I shared came out of the blue and everything I had said was in the open air on the AP thread.

This is the entire correspondence before the email I objected to. And I didn't respond to that email at all, so I've sent a sum total of 2 sentences.

Email thread:

Thank you for the clarification.

I said I was a member of DVOA's board, not USOF, Peter. I will edit the posting to make that clear.

I have replied to your comment on AttackPoint that you can read if you choose.

On a completely different front, I have put together what I believe is a relativelycomplete list of board members from 1973 onward but cannot find your name in it. You indicated that you were a USOF Board member and I would like to make the list more complete. (I was only able to get information (with the great help of SaraMae Berman) back to 1973.)

I would love to include you in the list as it will become a record on the website and other places of who has helped our sport over the years. If you could fill me in on when you were a member of the board, I would like to add your name. You may also know of others who should be added. I have attached my spreadsheet of names for you to look at if you desire.
