On first wear, I really liked them on the trails, which were just dirt and roots. Super comfortable, no foot slide, and plenty of toe room. Definitely interested to see how they feel on a longer run/trek and on rocky surfaces, but they came with a good recommendation. :) Being as my Cascadias are pretty shredded at the tops and let in all manner of junk at Thunder Rolls, the Salewas are going to get a pretty thorough trial run this weekend.
