I have been rolling into my intervals...I thought about needing to have explosive speed (relative to my age). To me that means fast or quick feet. So yesterday I did a few quick starts where I ran only about 20 yards...all I wanted to do was get those first few steps to be much quicker.

Did that as a warmup also today...probably about 10. Then when I did the 200's it was from dead stop the way a race or real workout would be. I think I saved 2 seconds in the first 20 yards doing this. Ran about 6 seconds fast for the first one that I have been or more...

I also decided fewer reps that are much faster is better than doing more but I was able to run half a mile today at 6 min pace...
