I don't know if it was doing it in the daylight instead of almost all of my race rappels at TR being in the dark, but it looked huge to me. Way bigger than what 60' sounds like.

i asked the ropes guys at the top how tall it was and 60' was the answer they gave. i think the overhang made it seem bigger? not real sure in the dark. but i was thinking the cliff band around that area was 75'-100' so 60' seemed reasonable?

PS. great job w the race pics!

did you guys go towards the rap first? or the other way.

They told me 60 too. We did it in the light (terrifying). Looking at the pictures and judging off of the belayer being 6' (and the fact that they had to set the rope and need to know how much and what they're doing), it's probably right. It just seems so high.

We rappelled first, kind of accidentally. We attacked the waterfall from the top, realized the flag was at the bottom, and proceeded to the rappel.

yes that is exactly what we did too! i am wondering how it went for teams that went CW and had to climb to the top of the rap, somehow?

I know Dallas and Matt had to do that, and No Sleep somehow at the rappel got the message that they had to go back up to the top trail (which I assume was a miscommunication because we asked and were definitely not told that).

Congrats to both of you guys, Silky and Kgeisen! Sounds like great team efforts!
