I've learned to always have something to read for all my trips to ER, doctors, tests. So much waiting ...

I hope this all gets resolved for you easily and that you're back to orienteering soon!

I certainly wasn't prepared for the cath delay of about two hours. I'll remember the lesson.

I take the other approach: after an hour of waiting, I inform the nurse or Physician's Assistant that I have 'other commitments' and leave.

IMO most of the prescribed scans and procedures are of the 'Cover Your Ass' variety, and add little to your own personal knowledge of your condition...or course of action. And ultimately result in very little meaningful feedback from your doc.

IOW in most cases, you can probably do without it. And save time, money and worry. Good luck. :-)
