I eventually found them on the WARA site but it's totally inappropriate that the ARC's web page doesn't even have a results tab...

I thought it was strange that our three WA APers took so long to even acknowledge that they'd done the event (Andre still hasn't and none has actually done any sort of write up yet though)! I imagine it was a totally crap event. It is also by far the worst attended Aus Champs in recent history for WA and was even outdone by both 24hr events from last year but then numbers have declined for all events rapidly since then.

Also ARA does have a results tab; it's under Events (no results listed yet though).

With the world champs in Alice earlier this year, was going to be interesting to see how many PPL would do this event

I wrote my novel yesterday just waiting for some control point location data before putting it all up in 1 hit

I meant that the Aust Rogaining Champs page has no results link: http://wa.rogaine.asn.au/OC2016/00_Home.php

It surprised me that in Central Australia there was absolutely no promotion of the upcoming Aust Champs; I'd have thought it would be the perfect opportunity for WARA to do some marketing.

Wara and Oawa don't really know the meaning of that word it seems

I imagine many people who were at Alice Springs would have already made up their minds about WA given it was only two months later, but yeah I did a crap job of promoting both MTBO and Metro at our recent state champs.

At my count there were 16 teams from outside WA and another three part teams so a very low turnout but then when I was handing out flyers for MTBO in Qld, I got a few 'too far' comments. I understand if people just don't want to go because they don't travel for sport (hell, I don't travel to interstate MTB XC races) but saying it's too far is crap - I went all the way to Qld just to hand out flyers! I wonder where these people travel for holidays ;-)

Marketing? - why would orienteering and rogaining, the sports designed for nerdy introverts, want to tell anybody about it? The ones who need to know are already doing it :-)

Today's West Australian had 'Roganining results'. Is that a place in WA, like Popanyinning, Dumberning or Yornaning?

Bryce you had a win over Richard!

you sound surprised simmo? Richard and I are closely matched on the scoreboard at rogaining - but I have a tendency of just pipping him it seems. Even though the weekend we where both out for some fun rather than competition this time round - still ended close.
