We are having household debate about driving to Sydney at Christmas time because the professional driver wants to take a more efficient route than the orienteer does! I see no problem with detouring via the Newcastle 5-Days...

We'd be happy to see you.
Just FYI -
Day 1 pm Tighes Hill TAFE (Newcastle city)

Day 2 am Pelaw Main (Cessnock)

Day 3 am Poppet Head (Kitchener)

Day 4 am Southams Road (Cessnock)

Day 5 am Tank Paddock (Minmi)

I've given you nearby townships for some idea of locality.

There are MTBO events in the afternoon of Day 2,3,4 - at Cessnock, Barnsley and Glencock Lagoon (Newcastle) respectively

PrueD - the first time we drove to Vic for an Easter or an Aus champs I thought it took a long time to get to the border THEN it seemed just a hop skip and a jump to get to Ballarat or Bendigo or Maldon wherever it was. But the monotony of the straight roads in Vic seemed to extend the travel time enormously. But it was probably just me - a new place always seems to take longer to get to.

TT - looks tempting to me. I haven't been there before.
Looks like l'm going to have to take the direct route to Qld this week, just to get there in time.
