I'm expecting you to be standing there with a beer for me when I finish

You'll be on your third (at least) by the time I finish!!

I'd rather have the beer half way up Trahenna ;-)

Are you playing down your chances Spongey? I'm looking forward to a showdown. It could well be my longest race ever.

Spongey:
All I remember is that this time last year I did my first ever sky race and realised that very long races are not my thing. But feel like I have to make the most of a non-o autumn so giving it a go. Also like the idea of earning my Saturday night beers. But challenge accepted - hopefully the AP curse that struck Murray after he was giving some trash talk chat last week doesn't get you

It's not the AP curse you need to worry about, it's the tussocks between Stobo and Trahenna.

It's mostly a nice race though, enjoy it. And if you don't, at least there's free beer at the finish, so enjoy that.

I heard that very long races are less about running and more about eating..

It's not a very long race.

I can see why that logic would interest you though.

So what was the scores on the doors then?!

I had a minute lead but Spongey came past when I was floundering in the bog. He hit the top of the last hill with a 20 second lead but there was zero visibility and his map had blown away so he waited and I lead him off the hill.. There was a bit of a gentleman's agreement from there, I didn't want to contest it then as he'd waited for me but he would have had me regardless from that point.
