2:03? Is that your own time from last year? Sounds pretty darn good for a hilly trail run!

It is my time. oa winning time was 1:36:xx. My goal this year is 1:50:xx. Forecast isn't looking so good though (for me). Highs in the upper 80's. Chance of t-storms. Rain would be ok, the heat will kill me.

heat is killer, but race starts at 9 am, cooler out in the sticks and lots of shade, right?...its a shame good weather and races don't seem to coincide often, just 2 days later - high in the low 50's.

76 at start. 86 by finish. High humidity. Shade maybe, but also protected from breeze. One day off - Mondays high is 71.

Am I mistaken or aren't there any trail races in stl area almost the entire month of october? Interesting, likely the best month for running and nobody touches it. (ok, oct 29 is both QQ2 and bluff run on the same day!) Wonder what the reasoning is -RD's think the more suffering the better?

MT100 they may be looking at regional competition or getting people ready for another ultra later?

Within 5 hours drive:

10/1: Hennepin 100, Lake Perry Rocks
10/8: Heartland 100, Rockbridge Revenge, Rockin' Rockwoods (local)
10/9: FLATS Trail half
10/15: Dogwood Canyon 10K, Ondessonk Half/50K
10/16: Dogwood Canyon 25/50K
10/29: Ozark Bluffs 10k (local), Tecumseh Trail Marathon, QQ Half (local)

Looks like a pretty full month to me.
