9th Sept – “…got a bit of a sore throat…”
10th Sept – “Throat really sore afterwards”
12th Sept – “Sore throat clearing up but nose a bit sore and sniffly”
14th Sept – “Sore throat back”
18th Sept – “Sore throat back and felt grim”
19th Sept – “Throat sore but running quite well”
21st Sept – “Felt grim all day after another sleepless night and a sore throat”
22nd Sept – “Throat sore and felt crap - does this count as being ill?”
23rd Sept – “Cold now starting to surface. Nose starting to run, head and throat sore, feeling terrible”
24th Sept – “Cough, splutter, sneeze!”
25th Sept – “This is the worst cold I've had for many years!”
..and all this time you didn't stop training!!! Listen to your body Donald it is telling you to take a rest, you don't recover as quickly as you get older.
Sorry guys! But I do have a voice in my head which says I'll lose what little fitness I have if I don't train all the time.
You've trained hard for 30+(?) years, you'll not lose it in a couple of weeks...
