Maybe you'd like to earn the spot on the US Team?
Well this is the first time the US has lost the BK Cup since my brief time as US coach! ;-)
Thanks Clem the knee has generally behaved so that has allowed me to focus on the map. makes the O experience great again
It was great catching up.
I wish there were more weekends of orienteering like this
in North America. Your race organization in 2012 is what kick started this NAOC weekend awesomeness
Atta boy Hammer! Way to race...
Burnt Mountain looked unreal.
yes the terrain was spectacular. reminded me of Harriman before the blueberries took over. It was a real thrill reading the detail and not having to worry about crap on the ground. Having said that the map was difficult to read at 1:10,000 given how dark the woods were but I can't imagine what 1:15,000 was like. TheGriz said he would just set the compass and run and then stop and try to read the map and relocate. I had to do that for part of the race too.
I'll definitely be looking to go to future races or training camps there.
