having trouble reconciling your race report with your tracks but after looking at the maps on the website, I see the polarity of your GPS track is reversed. How'd ya do that??

Looks like a good area for a race.

I downloaded the gps data from the race website. It records the latest data point on top of the one before it so when you download it you get the last point first. AP apparently read it as top point first.

You need to convert it to a .gpx file. I used a website called GPS visibility to convert. You'll need to organize the downloaded file from Pinnacle into a format that GPS Vis recognizes. I found it easiest to use the Notepad in Windows. Convert the organized .txt file to a .gpx.

W4J, since you told me about your problem with the GPS download, I've been trying to get it resolved so we can put out a Facebook post with a step-by-step solution for all the racers. JayXC and I had a good chat this afternoon when he probably should have been training for ARWC or something. It appears that some browsers download the data in a clean format, ready to copy it into a text file for import into GPS Visualizer. That's what happens at Pinnacle Tracking with their version of Internet Explorer. But other browsers (including JayXC's and mine) download a mess of data that needs to be cleaned up manually into nice columns in the text file. I've sent that issue to Pinnacle and am waiting to see if they can do something since I'd rather not tell racers they will have to clean up the data. In the meantime, you can do it if you'd like. If you want to see a sample import text file, one of us can send you one.
