I had an equally chilly morning camping and had great problems to decide what to wear for my 8:12 sprint start time. In the end I ran in shorts and short sleeved Tshirt+nylon O top which was fine since the sun quickly warmed everything up on this gorgeous day.
It was good to see you again after the Long distance race and as you say - time is always too short to meet and talk to everyone around.
