It's good that she's done a blue course, but it was a very poor event. She's not particularly happy with it.

Chas:
very surprised you went.
Not the only poor event at the w/e. Phil was ranting about the Caddihoe and, judging by Clive's result, there were issues with the map there too.

Meanwhile in the Lakes the Hodgson Brothers Relay is the best relay event in the world (source: the great Martin Hyman).

I've always enjoyed Pillar Wood in the past, but the brambles seem to have taken over large parts of it that were fine before, even allowing for the time of year.

Just read her log: I'm sensing that it wasn't a great event and that there were brambles. Sounds like she had the same problem with the thickets that you had.

Re. Caddihoe: Clive mispunched and was over 60m away from the right control. He made excuses but there, it was his own fault. Having said that, at other controls, the maps was shocking, an estimation at best. Reading Neil's report reminds me of the awful green I got stuck in, and not knowing how to get through green, cos white "gaps" weren't there.......

But yeah on balance the map & terrain down at Caddihoe were really not good or fun/enjoyable. Brambles & gorse etc.

Just read Evie's AP! ;)
