perhaps going for a massage or seeing a physio so you don't injure yourself further, potentially doing irreparable damage?

As a male of the species, it would be out of character for me to seek medical help unless I need to be walked in on a stretcher

Physio's are miracle workers!!! In a month, I went from hardly being able to run 5K to setting a half marathon PB...
