Hey friends with Ben. Did your long course (slightly modified). Thought you might want to see how it went. CP 8 was just inside a nice and thick rhodo thicket.

Nice! It looks like you had a good day out there. Glad to see you were able to finish.

I realized how much the vegetation needs to be updated when I got out there the other day. But it's a really beautiful area.

I took your GPX and combined it with the map in Quickroute. You can check it out here.

Thanks! Was hoping you might do that but forgot to go back and check your log. Looks like it gets a little off around 11-14. My route options may not have been optimal, i.e., what you though forcing you to pull it a little S.

Yea. Not much has been done with the veg. We are def amateur mappers at this point.

Yeah, it's tough to do someone else's Quickroute. It needs to be adjusted usually and I never know exactly where you went.

Don't worry about the veg. It's also one of the toughest things to map. You have a head start because it looks like most of the lower parts of the deep reentrants have rhododendron and the spurs are clean running. In that way, you know where the green is for the most part, now it's just defining the limits (which is actually most of the work).

It does seem like you took some tough routes, but I'm impressed that you got it done and that your dogs were able to maintain the pace.

Honestly, it's what I told Ben. You guys have some BAMF terrains down there. Orienteering is fun even on a basic map.
