LOL, that's what happens when logging something on my phone.

Things learned:
-Way easier to practice kayak paddling technique in a kayak vs yellow banana
-kayaks are more stable than you think
-tail winds are not as useful as you would imagine
-there's a reason they put rudders on these things (didn't install mine yet)
-profanity does not help the boat go straight in windy conditions
-you can't not get wet in a surfski
-bailer is way more effective if you're moving when you open it (that was pretty obvious but I couldn't resist opening it while sitting still. Boat fills with water. Big surprise.)

Thing I need to learn:
-How to make the boat go the direction I want vs. what the wind and waves want. Guessing the rudder will help. At one point with a stiff tail wind coming from my left shoulder I just paddled steady and symmetrical and did a full 360. That confused me.

Rudder helps tremendously, no steering needed other than by foot. :)
