only 5 minutes and you 'cross the street' and you're in deer creek park/streets of webster. or fight your way west past wf and rei and head south - you're golden.
Yeah, I could go to Sunnen or to Shrewsbury/Lansdowne, but those are both about 4 miles to home and I was looking for 6.
Getting off at Brentwood I64, I go right past WF and REI into the apartment complex and then out to McKnight. Essentially, from McKnight on, there's no sidewalks until Sappington. The route I took last Friday was better, but a mile longer. What route are you thinking?
you can always make it 6 by taking the scenic route. For instance I get nearly 6 by going deer creek park, pacific, summit, back streets of webster park, plant, jackson, algonquin lane, beverly, edwin, hawbrook, park.
For the rei/wf route, I was thinking more back streets, like High School, White, to Golden Gate, 1 block on Mcknight. Old Warson, Des Peres, etc. No sidewalks would be ok w me because the traffic is light - Thats probably the one thats a mile longer, right? Amazing how limited that direction is w/o eventually getting on the major arteries.
That's close to the route I take. Old warson is pretty busy in both directions at that time of day.
I think sunnen station/deer creek/summit is probably a good option. I was thinking about that for this friday.
