If you aren't sure, just tell them you're signing up for the ADF in six months' time and then they'll leave you alone.
Don't think that will help me keep the job I already have (and I really like where I work).
The uncertainty has centred around the fact that it involves a step out of the classroom about 15 years earlier than I'd ever contemplated, and a fairly complete change in what my day to day work would involve.
Are you middle-aged yet Fletch...? ;-)
He couldn't tell you. He hasn't left the class room in a while to check.
He probably jumps or leaps out of the classroom, so has left it without actually making an erroneous statement.
The most removed movement from stepping would be a commando crawl surely.
No, backwards roll is even more removed, dare I suggest a step further than the forwards locomotion intimated in a commando crawl?
What about the land-backstroke also known as "OMG! Somebody call an Ambulance!!"...?
What is middle aged? I did very recently celebrate my 18th and 21st birthdays (the two most important ones) simultaneously.
Much earlier than I was expecting to have a crack at a Deputy Principal position... I don't get to run around enough as a Head of Department as it is :(
Probably a good thing given your Achilles dislike of volleyball, basketball, badminton, running, netball, touch rugby, ultimate...
At least his Head wasn't much impacted by any of those sports.
