Bag Balm works better than vaseline for chaffing -- always use for 24 hr rogaining, particularly when it's raining.

Well, I'm alive, and appear to have achieved my A goal: Finish, no more broken than I started. Though I suppose tomorrow will tell the full extent of brokenness as pertains to achilles and ankle better than today.

(I always thought there were three parts to an ultra and two of them -- the anticipation beforehand and the memories afterward -- were really fun.)
