The wet or icy conditions around freezing are nearly impossible to get any grip with. With some waxing, they should become a bit faster though.

Skin skis? Or some other type skis? I am planing to get myself skin skis but still slightly hesitating between zero and skins. Not that easy to find good ones I believe.

This is "skins" (Madshus Intelligrip). I bought them at a reduced price in the sports tent in Mora after last years 30KM race.
The first try hasn´t convinced me of their superiority yet. Grip was OK but not great, but as Jeff says, conditions were difficult. Usually I don´t need much of a grip either since I´ve been almost 100% double poling the last 5 or so years - mostly due to my bad knee/leg.
