cmorse: because - again - some old guy ran yellow to steal the glory

hey.. I resemble that remark.... I did say it was sprint training, so tell Adam the glory is all his....

PBricker: I should have put a :) after that remark. Actually, it's good for Adam to see what a decent time on a yellow is! (PG did the same at Pawtuckaway.)

PG: Clint isn't old!

PBricker: Need to look at this through Adam's eyes ...

cmorse: Yeah, but Peter's looking at it through the eyes of an ice-cream inhaling sextagenarian, isn't he? :-)

you should have had Adam re-run it unofficially just to see how much faster he could run it once he factored out the navigation component. I'm sure he could easily beat me on foot speed alone.

PBricker: "I'm sure he could easily beat me on foot speed alone."

As it happens, Adam had a cross country race today, a home meet, on the Tuesday night 5k course. He ran 20:51, a PR for him, probably equivalent to about a 20:00 flat 5k. More importantly, he's now officially faster than his dad: I ran 21:08 on the course in July when I was doing speedwork, and couldn't come close to that now. I'm not sure if he's faster than you yet, but he's close, and he will be faster soon.

cmorse: I've done slightly less than 20min 5k a few years ago, but highly unlikely I could come under 21 minutes on a flat course these days. And I don't have any desire to try either...
