Did you find it in the weeds?

Good one :-) Actually it was in the woods. It was obviously full of something, in good condition and a few yards from a grouping of 4 folding chairs (obviously stolen from a dormitory common room) and a bunch of litter (empty bottles, etc). Not knowing what it contained (there's been a lot of publicity locally about abandoned back packs containing the hazardous materials used in making meth), and not wanting the TROL camp kids to stumble on it and maybe get hurt, I figured it appropriate to have the authorities check it out and remove it. The cop also confiscated a water pipe (bong) that he found concealed next to the backpack. And he left his business card so that the students would know the police had found and taken their stash.

I wonder if any of them might actually think they could get it back... :-D

It wouldn't be the dumbest thing a college student has ever done.
