Xc skiing?? No way! So jelly!!

Way! ;) Was going to take a photo to really boast, but forgot. Yep, a very nice day. Not quite "racing on the south coast of Australia in the biggest ARWC ever with super awesome teammates", but good :)

Ack, you're killing me here! Mind you, we have a dusting now with a bit more in the forecast. Maybe maybe rock ski weather.

We have to have some sort of consolation prize for typically not having an autumn here (although this year was great)

I did pull the skis out with hopes of skiing to work on Monday morning! I'm inspired by bent!

So cool you can do that too! (I'm hoping for the most optimistic snow forecast for our area. Which might just mean a cruise around our back yard on rock skis.)

We had one week of fantastic skiing first week of November here which is very unusual. Unfortunately we´re back to the normal November weather again though - dark and rainy.
It´s still possible to ski in a few places relatively nearby (Orsa and Mora) but it´s a little too far to go there daily.

Isn't Mora the capital of Nordic skiing? Don't they make snow there year-round? ;)

They make snow, but they don´t open their tracks until November.

This year they were actually one week late - I was skiing on natural snow in my home tracks on November 3rd while they didn´t open their artificial tracks until the following weekend. Right now they may be better off though with skiing on wet artificial snow available.

Actually the natural snow in the tracks in the area where I have been skiing is still skiable but with rain almost every day this past week it hasn´t been very tempting to go there.

PS. The arena for the XC Ski Champs 2015 in Falun also has snow but I find it boring to just go round a very short loop and have never been there.
